Feed Mill Supervisor - Nights
We are looking for a Feed Mill Supervisor to oversee night shifts (Monday‑Friday, 11:00 pm – 7:00 am) at Keystone Cooperative. The role manages batching, pelleting, receiving, and delivery of livestock feed while ensuring safety, accurate documentation, and daily operational updates to the Mill Manager.
Schedule Night shift, Monday‑Friday 11:00 pm – 7:00 am.
Duties and Responsibilities
Must be able to work independently and efficiently without supervision.
Assist mill employees with operating activities, training, and development.
Operate scales for inbound and outbound trucks.
Perform basic preventative maintenance, including housekeeping items.
Understand feed ingredients and proper handling techniques and storage.
Distribute the feed onto feed trucks while minimizing shrink.
Mechanical interest and aptitude for mill and truck equipment are beneficial.
Operate equipment safely and maintain it according to the maintenance schedule.
Use analytical techniques for problem‑solving, coordination, and decision‑making.
Pay high attention to detail and formula accuracy.
Be driven, organized, punctual, and a self‑starter.
Be team‑oriented and possess leadership capabilities.
Consistently follow all laws, regulations, and safety rules.
Complete necessary paperwork, documentation, and records daily.
Assist with other duties as required.
Skills and Qualifications
BS in Agriculture related degree or equivalent work experience.
Computer proficiency with Excel, Word, Outlook, WEM, and FMM.
Agriculture background is a plus.
Must pass drug screen and background check.
Have a commitment to safe working conditions and the operation of CDL‑required vehicles.
Be willing and able to work well with others, to take and give constructive criticism, and to supervise 1st shift mill operators and drivers.
Must work without supervision and make 1st shift operational decisions.
Attention to detail, accuracy, and productivity.
Physical demands include standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, and reaching in all areas.
Lifting is required in many areas; weight depends on the area. Work is performed in dusty, sometimes cold, hot, and humid environments.
Education and Experience
BS in Agriculture related degree or the equivalent, and/or prior work experience.
