Recruiting and Onboarding Specialist

Compensation:

$75-90K

Hours:

9am-5pm, overtime as needed

General Summary Our client has a long reputation for pioneering separation technology in the mining and energy sectors. The client is a global leader in the markets we serve, with over 500 employees, and offices in North America, Europe, and Asia. We have 390,235 Sq. Ft. of Manufacturing space in Buffalo that houses our skilled manufacturing workforce. We are looking for a Recruiting & Onboarding Specialist to take ownership over the entire recruiting process.

Responsibilities

You will design, implement, and continuously improve an effective and innovative recruiting strategy, including:

Working closely with hiring managers to understand business needs and then writing compelling job descriptions

Actively sourcing passive candidates using marketing, advertising, and web based recruiting tools to initiate and maintain contact

Operating as a company ambassador for our employer brand, providing a world‑class candidate experience that is engaging, responsive, authentic, and respectful

Leading an effective interview processes that includes an introduction to Derrick, facility tours, an exceptional interview environment, challenging questions, and personality profile assessments

Screening candidates for role and culture alignment

New employee Welcome Experience

You will build a solid pipeline for future roles by growing and fostering long term relationships with qualified active and passive candidates to pull from as new positions become available.

Stay on top of new recruiting trends, technologies, and opportunities for sourcing candidates

You will maintain encouraging and positive communication with new hires to help transition them into the Derrick team.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field

5+ years of full cycle recruiting experience

Experience recruiting for a broad spectrum of job openings such as manufacturing personnel, technical degreed team members, administrative, sales and executive positions

Demonstrated success identifying, targeting, and attracting high caliber talent in a highly competitive market
