Minimum qualifications

10 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or an advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications
Experience building systems, processes, and governance.
Knowledge of the ML infrastructure, current landscape, and strategic priorities.
Ability to present complicated analysis, logic, and solutions in a clear and concise manner.
Ability to partner with cross‑functional stakeholders and help influence decisions.
Ability to independently generate and drive initiatives to improve efficiency.
Strong problem solving, analytical skills and business judgment to drive recommendations for ML investments.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you'll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You'll provide senior‑level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.
The Cloud Finance BI team supports the broader Cloud Finance organization and Cloud senior leadership. The team owns the financial analytics and automation roadmap and works with Finance and Engineering partners to build stable reporting, forecasting, simulation and modeling assets. Our goal is to enable decision intelligence while reducing the reporting burden on analysts.
The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $165,000‑$245,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
Develop a deep understanding of Google’s technical infrastructure and economics behind the significant investments needed to support AI/ML demand and drive long‑range planning.
Perform benchmark analysis and end‑to‑end operational assessments to identify efficiency opportunities.
Structure and execute insightful analysis on investment recommendations; communicate findings and guide senior management decision making.
Help develop and implement processes, tools and governance to drive ML analytics with consistency across TI Finance.
Cultivate strong relationships and collaboration across numerous touch points with Alphabet leadership, TI Finance leadership, cross‑functional finance, systems and engineering teams.
