Job Summary BD is one of the largest global medical technology companies, advancing the world of health™ through transformative solutions. The Associate Territory Manager (ATM) provides field level support to physicians and other clinical and administrative professionals, primarily in hospitals and surgery centers. The role works closely with Territory Managers to drive sales revenue, support product demonstrations, and create business opportunities that align with the company’s goals. The ATM is also a pipeline for future Territory Managers.

Essential Functions

Coordinate with field sales for training and technical support of clinical cases.

Prioritize targeted customers, cases and training events with sales management.

Support regional physician proctors and training activities.

Conduct training and in‑servicing for hospital surgery staff.

Help develop regional centers of excellence and support marketing events and seminars.

Perform special projects and other duties as assigned.

Specific Responsibilities

Maintain equipment, advertising, and promotional materials in an orderly manner.

Complete all paperwork timely and keep accurate account records.

Use productive sales time: dealer calls, surgeon contacts and on‑site visits.

Acquire extensive product knowledge and conduct in‑service education.

Maintain a promotional tool inventory and adhere to expense budgets.

Use presentations and objection handling techniques effectively.

Plan continuous sales calls and prioritize territory coverage.

Maintain company car and adhere to state driver requirements.

Engage in nurses lectures, journal clubs, local seminars and product presentations.

Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills Required

Bachelor’s degree required.

1‑3 years of general sales experience.

Experience working in a team environment, especially with sales teams.

Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

Good judgment, maturity and ability to relocate for an open territory.

Ability to travel 80% of the time, including overnight travel.

Valid state driver’s license with 3 years of continuous driving history.

Meet customer/medical facility drug screening requirements.

Additional Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge

Understanding of sales analysis and buyer concepts.

Knowledge of contract administration and group purchasing.

Basic anatomy and familiarity with medical terminology.

Salary Range $63,900.00 – $105,400.00 USD Annual
