Founder / Director of Client Relations at Fat Fish Media Overview
We are seeking a multidisciplinary designer with a strong focus on motion graphics and graphic design to help shape the visual language of live events and experiential projects. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our creative team to design animated and graphic content used in live shows, presentations, and immersive environments, bringing stories, mood, and brand identity to life through motion and design.
We are looking for a skilled multidisciplinary designer with a focus on motion graphics design and graphic design.
This position will be at the heart of designing dynamic, engaging visuals that are key to delivering impactful event experiences. You will work closely with our creative director and creative team to create everything from animated content to graphic elements used in live presentations, exhibitions, and experiential environments.
Your work will play a key role in conveying mood, atmosphere, and themes for events, combining graphic design expertise with animation to craft visuals that captivate audiences and enhance the event experience.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Animate: Develop and create motion graphics, animated content, and visual elements to be used in live shows, events, and exhibits.
Branding & Identity: Create and maintain visual consistency in alignment with client and project branding. Design branding, digital ads, promotional materials, social media content, printed graphics and integrated visuals that reflect the brand's personality and message.
Conceptualize & Storyboard: Collaborate with the creative team to develop visual concepts, sketches, and storyboards. Visualize ideas and communicate them clearly through various design deliverables.
Visual Storytelling: Use motion design principles to effectively convey narratives, messages, and emotions through visuals, typography, and animation.
Collaboration: Work closely with the creative director and other team members to execute the director's vision for the project, providing insight and expertise throughout the design process.
Edit & Enhance: Integrate audio, visual effects, and video editing into animations to create immersive multimedia experiences.
Maintain Brand Guidelines: Ensure that all designs align with brand standards, color palettes, typography, and design styles, maintaining consistency across all deliverables.
Asset Management: Organize and manage assets (graphics, animations, and video files) for easy access and re-use in future projects.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong Graphic Design Foundation: Expertise in graphic design principles, including typography, layout, color theory, and composition.
Animation Skills: Proficient in animation techniques and principles, with the ability to bring graphics and text to life through movement.
Motion Graphics Expertise: Demonstrated experience creating motion graphics for digital media, events, and exhibits.
Software Proficiency: Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop). Familiarity with Cinema 4D or Blender is a plus.
Storytelling Ability: Strong visual storytelling skills, with an ability to communicate complex ideas through animation and design.
Collaborative Mindset: Ability to work within a team, receiving and giving constructive feedback, and staying flexible in a fast-paced, creative environment.
Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, ensuring designs are polished, accurate, and aligned with project goals.
Portfolio:
A strong portfolio showcasing your work in motion graphics, animation, and graphic design.
Preferred Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in motion graphics, animation, and graphic design.
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Animation, or a related field.
