Guest Registration Supervisor (2026)
Position offered by YMCA of the Rockies. Pay range: $15.81/hr - $16.81/hr. Compensation will be based on your skills and experience.

Position Summary Detailed job knowledge of Guest Services operations. Duties include PBX operations, Front Desk operations, and Income Audit transactions. This is a seasonal, supervisory position. Shifts may include the AM shift, PM shift, coverage of a manager shift, and the Relief Night Audit overnight shift.

Essential Functions
Operate Property Management Software, a PBX multi-line switchboard, and a base radio
Handle cash accurately and responsibly
Become familiar with the property layout and information about the region, including Rocky Mountain National Park
Understand the basic responsibilities of all shifts
Work with and help supervise Guest Registration seasonal staff
Assume responsibility and delegate authority to co-workers when management is absent
Assist in training new front-desk staff
Be an on-the-job mentor for all seasonal staff in the Guest Registration department
Handle interactions with upset guests when needed
Apply good accounting principles in reviewing and reconciling daily financial transactions, which include tasks such as verifying balanced transactions and running end‑of‑day reports
Accurately communicate in verbal and written forms (including the appropriate completion of emergency and incident reports, service logs and emails), to management regarding task completion, concerns and significant events that occurred during the shift
Appropriate and timely handling of emergencies
Review and understand computer-generated reports and be able to update Excel spreadsheets and logs
All other duties as assigned, including working in other departments as required
Requirements/Qualifications
Demonstrate the ability to fluently read, write and speak English
Must be able to work flexible days and shifts. This includes weekends, nights, overnights, and holidays. Must also be able to rotate shifts and fill in for staff when needed
Update and help develop training programs for the Guest Registration department
Have excellent communication skills and customer‑service skills
Capable of problem‑solving and working under pressure in a stressful environment
Manage and account for large amounts of daily income
Must meet acceptable criminal background‑check standards
Flexibility and reliable attendance. This position fills in when the year‑round night auditor and relief night auditor cannot cover one or more night‑audit shifts. The employee must provide advance notice as much as possible if unable to work assigned shifts, and must regularly arrive on time for shift
Able to work alone and remain alert between the hours of 11:00 PM and 7:00 AM, several nights a week if necessary, including weekends and holidays
Use good judgment and initiative addressing emergencies and contacting support resources when appropriate

Able to work in a shared office environment
Comfortable working alone in a large building overnight
Able to remain calm and use good judgment during stressful events, such as medical emergencies, and to summon/coordinate appropriate resources when needed
The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate but may be high at times
Be able to lift 50 pounds or more up and down stairs; move around the property without tiring at an altitude of 8000 feet
Stamina to mostly stand during an 8‑hour shift
Be able to bend, stoop, kneel, walk, and vacuum
Be able to shovel snow off sidewalks around the building in cold weather outdoors
