Hetty's Brilliant Minds is a Christian childcare center that offers innovative, year‑round, before‑school, full‑day and after‑school educational preschool as well as infant care. Our vision is to offer a program that addresses the whole child. We provide a safe, loving, and encouraging environment that meets children’s developmental and academic needs.

Responsibilities

Focus on nurturing, monitoring and teaching children to share, express themselves, communicate, and collaborate well with others; follow their curiosity and promote language and vocabulary development.

Supervise assistant teachers and volunteers.

Develop lesson plans based on our curriculum and assess developmental growth of the children.

Communicate with parents about their children’s progress.

Set up classroom to reflect current lessons.

Plan and carry out curriculum.

Help children develop positive self‑images, encourage exploration of interests and social skills, and teach them to play fairly with others.

Develop schedules and routines that include physical activity, rest, and playtime.

Observe, assess, and document each assigned child’s health, skills, behavior, growth, and development.

Identify any physical or mental development concerns in assigned children.

Meet with parents to discuss concerns and optimize children’s developmental, intellectual, and social achievements in class activities.

Provide leadership and guidance to other staff and colleagues.

Create and lead a supportive, nurturing learning environment that encourages responsibility and motivation.

Vigilantly monitor the health and safety of the children and report any hazards to appropriate staff.

Report any suspected cases of child abuse to the appropriate authorities.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years experience in a childcare setting, especially with toddlers (18 months to 38 months).

CDA in Infant/Toddler.

Associate Degree preferred but not required.

MAT, First Aid and CPR Certificate.

Pay: $18.00 – $19.00 per hour.

Schedule 8‑hour shift, Day shift, Monday to Friday, Work location: In person.
