Job Description Arundel Lodge is a non‑profit organization dedicated to creating a world where behavioral health disorders do not limit individuals from achieving meaningful lives within their communities. Our mission focuses on improving the lives of children, adults, and families affected by mental health and substance use disorders. Rehabilitation Specialists are expected to implement the Recovery Model in all interactions with members. This approach emphasizes hope, autonomy, peer support, respect, empathy, non‑stigmatizing language, empowerment, leveraging members’ strengths, and fostering self‑determination.
Position Overview As a Rehabilitation Specialist in our MICA Program, you will play a crucial role in fostering a positive culture and quality of life for the members of Arundel Lodge. Your primary responsibility will be to support individuals in their recovery journeys from mental illness, physical illness, and substance use challenges. Position hours: Tuesday‑Saturday 6 AM‑2 PM.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required; a Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited college or university in a human services field is preferred.
At least one year of experience in the mental health or psychosocial rehabilitation field, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record is required.
Key Responsibilities
Prompt residents to start their day and assist with daily activities.
Monitor medication and facilitate transportation.
Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), make appointments, clean, cook, and provide overall caregiving support.
Support individuals in their recovery journey from mental illness, physical illness, and substance use.
