Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role based in Rockford, IL, for a Funeral Director. The Funeral Director will handle all aspects of funeral services including arranging and directing funeral ceremonies, coordinating with families, managing embalming processes, and ensuring that all services run smoothly and respectfully. The Funeral Director will also provide grief support and maintain high standards of customer service throughout interactions with clients.

Responsibilities

Arrange and direct funeral ceremonies

Coordinate with families to meet their needs and preferences

Manage embalming processes and maintain compliance with regulations

Provide grief support and counseling to families

Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism

Ensure all services run smoothly and respectfully

Qualifications

Proficiency in embalming and working experience in funeral homes

Experience in family services and providing grief support

Strong communication and customer service skills

Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities

Ability to work closely with families under emotional stress

Relevant licensure as a Funeral Director

Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
