Job Details Clerical Assistant Responsibilities
Performs a variety of clerical functions on the Nursing Unit including meeting, greeting, and orienting patients to the floor.
Answers questions from patients and/or family members or redirects to the appropriate care team member for response.
Transcribes orders; prepares patient chart on admission; ensures that chart is maintained appropriately; dismantles chart upon discharge; prepares diet and census sheets; rewrites medex once a week; prepares venipuncture list; assists in coordinating and compiling statistics as needed.
Assists the care team with the discharge process.
Answers telephones in a professional manner; distributes mail.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Minimum of 1 year experience in a doctor’s office or healthcare facility preferred.
Salary Range USD $27.59 - USD $27.59 /Hr.
The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job, and it does not include the value of benefits.
