Human Resources Assistant
Temp to Hire
Pay:
$22.00 per hour
Hours:
Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM - in-office
SUMMARY The Human Resources assistant position will share responsibility with the other department team members for these areas:
Track systems for employee records
Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements
Review time sheets daily and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies
Keep track of leave time, such as vacation and sick leave for employees
Prepare and maintain reports necessary to carry out the functions of the Human Resources department
Support the onboarding process for new hires, including preparation of materials and orientation activities
Assist with recruitment efforts such as job postings, resume screening, and interview coordination
Respond to employee inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and procedures
Participate in meetings with the HR team to discuss current projects and initiatives within the department
Assumes other duties as assigned by the Lead Human Resources Generalist and Human Resources Manager
The Human Resources Assistant will report to the Corporate Human Resources Manager and will work daily with the Lead Human Resources Generalist.
Human Resources Assistant Requirements
Bilingual Skills (Spanish - Verbal and Written)
Exercise professional conduct; ability to interact with a diverse group of managers and supervisors
Exhibit a high level of confidentiality and discretion in matters related to employees, organizational changes, protection of security information, data and files.
Effectual communicator verbally as well as through writing skills.
Proficient computer skills including MS Word and Excel
Proficient in explaining and presenting information using forms, tables, and spreadsheets
General knowledge of various employment laws and practices

Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
One to two years of general business experience with an exposure to Human Resources
ADP Payroll system experience a plus
