Overview
Position eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP). Must meet individual eligibility requirements in accordance with VHA policy and submit EDRP application within four months of appointment. Program approval, award amount (up to $200,000) and eligibility period (one to five years) are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after complete review of the EDRP application. Responsibilities
Develop assessment of the Veteran in collaboration with the interprofessional team, Veteran, family, and significant others; highlight strengths, limitations, supports, and service needs. Provide individual, group and family psychotherapy, psychoeducational services, and advanced case management. Collaboratively develop treatment plan and set achievable goals; update plan yearly or more frequently as needed. Serve as subject‑matter expert for VA and community resources; collaborate with providers; educate Veteran/caregiver and assist with referrals. Collaborate with primary‑care staff at CBOCs; provide timely consultations; manage walk‑in referrals and crisis interventions. Perform crisis intervention; make rapid assessments and develop crisis‑management plans for admission to inpatient programs. Administrative duties: guide training, supervise clinical social workers, provide policy and procedural guidance; write or update program guidelines. Work Schedule
Monday‑Friday, 8:00 am–4:30 pm Benefits
Edrp Authorized: Former participants ineligible to apply for incentive. Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases. Paid Time Off: 37‑50 days of annual paid time off (13‑26 days annual leave, 13 days sick leave, 11 paid federal holidays). Parental Leave: Up to 12 weeks paid after 12 months of employment. Child Care Subsidy: Up to 25% of eligible costs for eligible children up to $416.66 per month. Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5‑year vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% contribution by VA. Insurance: Federal health, vision, dental, term life, long‑term care. Requirements
