Koenig Equipment, founded in 1904, is a family‑owned leader in the Agriculture, Lawn & Garden, and Construction industries. We seek a Lawn & Landscaping Equipment Sales professional to strengthen our presence in the Knightstown, IN territory.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with residential, commercial, and governmental customers in the assigned geography, focusing on dealership margin potential and new equipment market penetration.
Consistently call on all assigned accounts and keep their profiles accurate.
Coordinate merchandising of new and used complete goods to preserve a clean, professional dealership image and promote accessibility through extended seasonal hours.
Offer equipment solutions (new and pre‑owned), including financing options, at pricing that covers a three‑fold (3X) base compensation margin.
Evaluate all machines offered on trade, providing necessary resale information.
Promote Performance Edge (planned maintenance) and Implement Membership (compact tractor attachments) during qualifying new equipment sales.
Provide in‑store sales backup for Ag Sales for new and used equipment and for non‑K/R customers; pass new sales leads to Ag Sales for K/R customers.
Assist in annual budget planning, goal setting, and KEI metric implementation.
Attend dealership and external learning sessions as required.
Assist in department budgeting and expense control.
Collaborate with the Lot Coordinator on lot display and merchandising and perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
2‑5 years of applicable experience in a dealership or similar environment.
Strong customer‑relation and interpersonal skills, effective communication, and attention to detail.
Good understanding of sales techniques, methodologies, and time‑management.
Commitment to process, adherence to standards, and timely, professional issue resolution.
Solid grasp of financial reporting principles for new and used complete‑goods operations.
