Position Summary The Development Manager helps advance the mission of KAA by planning, managing, and executing fundraising initiatives that generate sustainable revenue and strengthen community engagement.
This ideal candidate is a relationship builder with 2+ years of experience in fundraising, development, events, or related work. The Development Manager oversees two major fundraising events, annual giving programs, and facilitates donor stewardship and gift processing.
Qualifications & Requirements
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, track budgets, and report on outcomes.
Experience with fundraising or marketing tools preferred (donor CRM, email platform Constant Contact, Canva).
Strong
written and verbal communication
skills.
Ability to work full-time on-site, with occasional evening and weekend hours for events.
Key Skills & Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and execute major annual fundraising events.
Manage relationships with sponsors, donors, volunteers, and vendors.
Develop event materials, sponsorship packages, and promotional content.
Track and report event performance, outcomes, and budgets.
Strategize and implement KAA’s annual giving plan, including year-end appeals, monthly giving, and targeted campaigns.
Create fundraising content for print, email, social media, and web.
Maintain ongoing communication with donors, sponsors, and community partners.
Develop and execute creative stewardship activities.
Ensure accurate gift entry, acknowledgments, and donor reporting.
Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects with attention to detail.
Respond to real-time feedback and adapt quickly.
Comfortable meeting fundraising, engagement, and stewardship KPIs.
