Base Pay Range $25.01/hr - $25.01/hr

Job Description Responsible for providing general direct and indirect patient care in a clinical setting under the direct supervision of a physician. Collaborates with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure practice operations run smoothly and support excellent patient care. May also perform clerical, administrative, or clinical tasks.

Principal Accountabilities

Handles patient intake, updates medical records, and administers appropriate screening tools.

Records medical information and test results, conducts patient interviews, takes and records vital signs, collects specimens, and administers medication under physician supervision.

Assists with walk‑in and scheduled clinic visits, ensuring verification and recording of clinical data and adherence to quality standards.

Guides patients through the health care system and helps patients arrive at scheduled appointments on time.

Assisting with examinations: working closely with physicians to perform clinical tasks.

Collecting and preparing laboratory samples: instructing patients on how to collect samples or drawing blood.

Greeting patients and scheduling appointments.

Maintaining medical records, recording patient medical histories and vital signs in the computer system.

Cleaning patient rooms and preparing examination rooms.

Provides emotional support related to the patient's clinical situation in accordance with the plan of care.

Assists with referrals of patients to the appropriate specialist for diagnosis or treatment.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required

High School Diploma or equivalent.

National Certification CCMA from NHA, AAMA, NAHP, ARMA, AMT, AMCA, or NCCT.

If certification is expired or being obtained within 60 days of employment, a pre‑certification agreement must be signed.

Preferred

Associate's degree in Medical Care or related field.

1 year of experience in Health Care services.

2+ years experience in outpatient, ambulatory setting.

Excellent communication, work ethic, active listening, adaptability to fast‑paced environment, and professionalism.

BLS certification upon hire.

Experience with EPIC or similar EMR system.

Ability to work within computer systems.
