Join Erlanger Health System as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) in Chattanooga, TN. You will provide direct and indirect care in patient rehabilitation.
Job Summary A licensed PTA is responsible for direct and indirect care in the rehabilitation of patients, working under the supervision of Physical Therapists.
Education
Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant Program.
Required Qualifications
Knowledge of general physical therapy principles and practical skills.
Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in Tennessee.
BLS certification completed prior to assignment.
Professional registration as required by the state.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in inpatient or outpatient rehabilitation settings.
Position Requirements
License/Certification/Registration: PTA licensure in Tennessee.
Department Position Summary Provides patient care treatments following the written treatment plan of the Physical Therapist. Teaches appropriate exercise programs, bed mobility, and transfers, provides wound care and debridement, and issues assistive devices when necessary. Participates in team meetings, discharge planning, and community education. Acts as a clinical instructor for PTA students.
Standard Hours Regular full‑time schedule.
