as a full‑time licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) providing services to patients with cognitive, communicative, and/or swallowing dysfunction.
Location:
Travel area within Bloomfield Hills, Southfield, and Royal Oak to Rivetus Skilled Nursing Facilities – Travel to facilities within 30 miles of your home ONLY.
Schedule:
Full Time – Monday to Friday.
Pay:
Up to $50/hour.

Responsibilities
Conduct speech‑language pathology screenings and evaluations to determine patient cognitive/communicative and swallowing status using standardized tests and measures.
Develop and implement treatment plans to reach patients’ highest potential for independence consistent with ASHA standards.
Assess treatment effects on an ongoing basis and modify the patient’s plan to achieve maximum benefit.
Check, instruct, assign, and review the work of CFY in accordance with ASHA standards.
Consult with physician and other practitioners to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment programs, and integrate speech therapy with other areas of patient care.
Provide documentation to maintain quality of the medical record in relation to accuracy, continuity of care, reimbursement guidelines, and agency requirements.
Participate in patient and family care conferences as requested.
Educate and instruct patient and family/caregivers in treatment procedures for home use.
Participate in Quality Assurance activities as directed by Agency Administrator, and/or site‑specific Director of Therapy.
Promote current standards of clinical practice through participation in continuing education, in‑service programs, and certifications sponsored by the agency.
Participate in new program development to expand the agency’s clinical services.
Attend agency meetings and other activities to facilitate effective operations.
Observe patient confidentiality at all times.
Abide by all safety, infection control, and other guidelines as required.
Rotate to other clinic locations to meet patient care needs and other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.
Licensure as required by the State of Michigan.
Ability to react effectively to the needs of patients and their families.
Physical ability to exert force up to 20 pounds.
Valid driver’s license.
Senior level: Entry level.
Employment type: Full‑time.
