Supervisor Head Cheer Coach / Their Designee

Length of Employment The term runs from the beginning of the academic year to the end of the Spring semester, with either party able to end employment at any time during the period.

Job Summary Under the supervision of the Head Cheer Coach or their designee, the Cheer Assistant is responsible for assisting with all game‑day and practice activities in addition to overall team management.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

Understand and commit to the mission of the College.

Assist coaching staff and athletic administration with team and facility management for competition days and practices.

Assist with preparing equipment for both competition and practices for the Cheer team or other teams/events as assigned.

Assist with competition‑day operations such as ticket taking, scoreboard operations, working the concession stand, filming, etc.

Assist with office work or administrative duties such as copying team materials.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High school diploma/GED.

Enrollment in and maintenance of at least six (6) credit hours at Dodge City Community College.

Good academic standing.

Availability in evenings and on weekends.

Preferred Qualifications

Dependable and responsible.

Excellent time‑management skills.

Ability to follow detailed instructions.

General knowledge of athletics.

Self‑motivated.

Physical Qualifications

Ability to bend, stoop, jump, kneel, and sit/stand for extended periods.

Ability to carry equipment and supplies.

Ability to ambulate and navigate stairs and ramps throughout campus.
