Responsibilities
Under the direction of the department director, implement the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the hospital and nursing department to improve patient care in the department.
Plan and coordinate clinical services to meet the needs of patients and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Provide leadership and mentorship to nursing staff, fostering a collaborative and patient‑focused work environment.
Monitor quality indicators, review outcomes, and develop strategies to enhance clinical effectiveness.
Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Nursing (required).
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
1.5 years of direct patient‑care nursing experience (five years preferred).
Critical‑thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to perform effectively in a stressful environment.
Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) – required.
ACLS within 6 months of hire.
PALS within 6 months of hire.
Handle with Care Certification within 6 months of hire.
Licenses
Valid state licensure in Georgia as a Registered Nurse (RN) or a multate license.
