Bronson Healthcare welcomes applications for a part‑time RN position in our Emergency Department at the Bronson Battle Creek location.

Title:
Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department (ED) – Bronson Battle Creek – Part‑time (Up to $10,000 Sign‑on Bonus)
Responsibilities:
Manage patient care delivery, from assessment to discharge, utilizing the nursing process.
Coordinate care provided by other professionals and delegate appropriate tasks.
Provide physical care within scope of practice based on patient acuity.
Document and communicate patient responses and anticipated needs during each tour of duty.
Utilize bedside data from computer systems and equipment to inform care plans.
Maintain mental and visual clarity while operating personal computers for up to 70% of the shift.
Lift up to 50 pounds routinely and assist with heavier tasks as needed.
Standards of Practice:
Collect comprehensive data and assess patient needs.
Analyze assessment data to identify patient problems.
Develop and implement individualized care plans.
Coordinate discharge planning when needed.
Provide patient education and family involvement.
Document outcomes and evaluate intervention effectiveness.
Standards of Professional Performance:
Participate in quality improvement activities and evidence‑based practice.
Maintain professional records of competency and continuing education.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and uphold ethical standards.
Lead in patient advocacy and safety initiatives.
Engage in peer review, research integration, and professional development.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s in Nursing preferred (must be obtained within eight years of hire).
Licensed Registered Nurse with good standing in Michigan.
BLS certification required; ALS, Critical Care, Pediatric Advanced Life Support, Trauma Nursing Core Course and other certifications as unit‑specific.
Current Michigan driver’s license and proof of insurance for BAH positions.
BSN requirement: must be met within eight years of hire; failure to meet will result in termination.
Ability to read, interpret, and analyze computer data; strong verbal and written communication skills.
