Plant Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift (6pm - 6am) Location: Ryan Rd & I-94, Oak Creek, WI

Schedule: 3rd Shift – 6pm–6am, 2-2-3 Schedule

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary The Plant Maintenance Technician works with the most advanced freeze dry technology in the world. They play a vital role in delivering high‑quality product to our customers to fuel their life’s important moments. The ideal candidate is one who is committed to food safety and quality, looks for improvement and is ready to roll up their sleeves with us.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Perform diverse duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment while adhering to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes.

Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment, including packaging equipment, machines, and proprietary systems.

Execute mechanical skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.

Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.

Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.

Perform plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.

Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment.

Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report unusual situations to proper supervision.

Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.

Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.

Must be highly motivated and work independently.

Perform on‑call responsibilities as required.

Requirements

High school diploma/GED and mechanical inclination. Associates in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance desirable.

4+ years of manufacturing experience.

Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills, with some ammonia/refrigeration and HVAC.

Food Safety Requirements

Place high priority on food safety, quality, and sanitation by understanding and executing food safety and sanitation policies and procedures.

Hold self and others accountable to food safety & sanitation guidelines and policies by communicating any incident, observation, or opportunity to leadership or teammates.

In the absence of Maintenance Supervisor, serve as backup to ensure all food safety, quality objectives and SQF system requirements are met.

Physical Requirements Must be able to perform the following functions with or without accommodations: frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and frequent fine finger dexterity. The job requires the following percentages of time committed to physical activity: 20% or more sitting, 70% or more walking, and 70% or more standing. The job is performed under frequent temperature variations and in a food manufacturing production environment. Unrestricted visual and audio abilities are required for the safety of all employees. The ability to lift to 40 lbs. is required.
