Rooms Preventative Maintenance Specialist
Job Overview Join our team at WinStar World Hotel as a Rooms Preventative Maintenance Specialist. Your responsibilities include handling maintenance requests, performing routine inspections, and ensuring all hotel systems and facilities remain in excellent condition. You will work a mix of swing (3 pm‑11 pm) and overnight (11 pm‑7 am) shifts, independently and collaboratively to deliver flawless guest experiences.
Responsibilities
Deliver outstanding guest service with a warm attitude and quick solutions.
Conduct routine inspections and perform preventative maintenance (replacing light bulbs, patching vinyl, etc.).
Monitor and maintain essential systems such as HVAC, plumbing, and lighting.
Perform regular pool checks and maintenance to keep the pool guest‑ready.
Touch up guest areas and fixtures to keep them fresh and polished.
Conduct routine safety and security inspections and respond to maintenance emergencies.
Coordinate with front desk and housekeeping to ensure smooth communication and satisfaction.

Skills & Experience
2–3 years of maintenance experience, preferably in a hotel or similar setting.
Proficiency with HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, carpentry, and general troubleshooting.
Independent problem‑solving ability and proactive decision‑making during shifts.
Positive, proactive attitude and strong communication skills.
Tech‑savvy: Comfortable using digital systems for tracking and reporting work.
Physical & Environmental Demands
Ability to bend, kneel, reach, lift heavy loads, and stand for extended periods.
Comfortable working in varying indoor/outdoor temperatures.
Possible exposure to secondhand smoke and other environmental factors around the hotel.
