Full-Time Job Summary: The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning and safety of all hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house operations. This role involves performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and addressing repair needs promptly to provide a comfortable experience for guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Routine Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and mechanical equipment.
Repairs: Address and repair issues related to guest rooms, public areas, and hotel facilities, including plumbing leaks, electrical malfunctions, and HVAC system failures.
Guest Requests: Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, ensuring minimal disruption to hotel operations.
Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations and hotel policies.
Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Emergency Response: Be available for emergency maintenance situations, including after‑hours and weekends, as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training is a plus.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in general maintenance, preferably in a hotel or hospitality setting.
Skills: Proficiency in electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, and general carpentry.
Certifications: EPA Certification for HVAC, electrical or plumbing license, or OSHA Safety Training is preferred.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and perform tasks in confined spaces.
Work Schedule: Availability to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
