Description of Job Duties

Work primarily in-person at the LEV house during office hours

Attend weekly check‑in meetings to review progress, plan tasks, and discuss priorities

Engage in ongoing personal leadership development and demonstrate willingness to learn and grow

Assist or lead LEV‑related programs, events and activities

Plan, support, and organize community hour events (T and Th 11:30‑1:30)

Support periodic evening and signature events with set up, tear down and cleanup

Serve as graduate advisor for student organizations

Assist with drafting and/or delivering communications such as annual reports, newsletters, and social media posts

Marketing efforts for LEV academic programs (MORG, LEV Fellows, Leadership concentration, Majors/Minors, digital badging, character certificate program, etc.)

Mentor student workers and support any events or tasks led by them

Assist faculty with administrative duties (take notes during meetings, make copies, develop and disseminate printed materials for LEV programs, etc.)

Job Qualifications

Accepted into a graduate program at North Central College

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently and collaboratively

Professional communication skills, including prompt email responses, meeting deadlines, and representing LEV with maturity and professionalism to students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners

Maintain integrity, confidentiality of sensitive program information, and demonstrate sound judgment

Comfortable leading groups and facilitating discussions

Experience in event planning or student leadership preferred

Strong written, verbal, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills required

Demonstrate problem‑solving and critical thinking skills

Intermediate skills using MS Office Suite, including Word and Excel

Experience with Canva, Google Suite, and social media management

Approximate number of work hours per week: 20 hours per week during the academic year, excluding academic breaks
