The Division of Emergency Management is hiring a Program Coordinator that: Coordinates activities of stakeholders engaged in implementation and administration of program objectives. Collaborates with program participants and stakeholders on planning, implementing, and monitoring of provision of program services. Coordinates all inter- or intra-unit administrative functions of the Individuals and Households Assistance Program on a statewide basis. Job duties include but are not limited to the following: Serves as agency coordinator of FEMA Individuals and Households Assistant Program (IHAP). Ensures all eligible impacted citizens have access to program benefits. Works closely with state Joint Info Center and FEMA PAO to ensure news releases are targeting impacted areas. Responsible for ensuring messages are accurate and timely. Monitors FEMA reg numbers of damaged witnessed. Requests assistance from volunteers to go house to house to enroll survivors in the program. Participates in conducting joint preliminary damage assessments with county officials and FEMA so as to determine eligibility for Individual Assistance activation. Ensures the program will be activated. Walks door-to-door in impacted areas, photographs damage and destroyed homes. Interviews survivors. Studies aerial photos for comparison before and after. Compares assessment levels with FEMA and Red Cross. Serves as liaison with FEMA in the location of Disaster Recovery Center (DRC) in impacted and declared areas. Responsible for coordination with local officials in declared counties to locate space for FEMA and Small Business Administration to meet with disaster survivors. Responsible for ensuring local officials are aware of site needs, restrictions and working rapidly. Responsible for coordination activities of state agencies needed to collocate at a disaster recovery center. Serves as liaison with the Small Business Administration (SBA) to ensure the activation of the SBA Disaster Loan Program in eligible and contiguous counties. Works with SBA to determine if counties qualify for a SBA declaration through damage assessment (door‑to‑door and business to business). Provides damage assessment training to local officials and emergency management professionals. Travels throughout the state to conduct training to counties on FEMA requirements and use of software programs used to capture assessment date. Serves as the Emergency Support Function Lead during the activation of the state Emergency Operations Center. Minimum Requirements

Education: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree. Experience, Training, or Skills: Three years of professional experience in management or administration. Substitute Education for Experience: A master's degree will substitute for one year of the required experience. Substitute Experience for Education: Administrative or business experience will substitute for the required education on a year‑for‑year basis. Special Requirements: NONE Working Conditions: Incumbents working in this job title primarily perform duties in an office setting. Minimal travel may be required. Seniority level
