Position Title: Senior Construction Representative

Reports to: Operations Manager

Location: Barkley Lock & Dam - Grand Rivers, KY

Employment Status: Full-Time

FLSA Status: Exempt

Schedule: Full-time (4x10 or 5x8 shifts; occasional night/weekend work)

Position Summary: Aldevra is currently seeking a qualified Senior Construction Representative to support the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) by performing Construction Management Services (CMS) at the Barkley Lock and Dam in Grand Rivers, KY. The Senior Construction Representative will provide on-site construction inspection and quality assurance (QA) support for a major turbine generator rehabilitation project. The Senior Construction Representative will ensure contractor compliance with contract requirements, safety regulations, and USACE standards. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform daily QA inspections of complex construction activities, materials, and workmanship for compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards.

Monitor and document contractor Quality Control (QC) program, including reviewing daily reports and ensuring compliance with the USACE 3-phase QC process.

Participate in technical meetings, progress reviews, and safety discussions; provide input on risk management and Activity Hazard Analysis (AHA).

Review submittals, as-built drawings, and progress payment requests; maintain updated project records and documentation in RMS.

Track and report deficiencies, RFIs, and corrective actions; assist with punch list verification and final inspections.

Prepare daily QA reports, correspondence, and recommendations for acceptance or rejection of work.

Mentor junior staff on technical and QA processes.

Ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1 and OSHA regulations.

All other duties as assigned.

Requirements: Security Requirements:

Must be able to obtain CAC clearance.

This position requires passing an extensive background check.

Qualifications:

15+ years of construction experience, including QA/QC inspections and compliance verification.

Knowledge of USACE safety and quality standards.

OSHA 30 Certification required; CQM and First Aid/CPR (can be obtained within 60 days).

Valid driver’s license and ability to work flexible shifts.

Excellent verbal communication skills and telephone manner.

Excellent and accurate written communication.

Familiarity with Windows operating systems; online calendars and cloud systems; intermediate to advanced skills Microsoft office products required.

Excellent attention to detail; accurate data entry.

Customer focused and team‑oriented work ethic.

Able to multi‑task efficiently and accurately, focusing on quality.
