Job Title: Outside Sales Representative
Department: Sales
Compensation: Base Salary + Commission
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Location: Sarasota, Florida
Position Overview D and D Garage Doors is seeking a motivated and results-driven Outside Sales Representative to join our team. In this role, you will build strong relationships with new and existing customers, develop effective sales strategies, and drive revenue growth within your assigned territory. This is a field-based position that offers a mix of client engagement and strategic planning, with support from a dedicated office team.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement: Visit prospective and existing clients to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products or services.
Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales plans to meet or exceed revenue targets and expand the customer base.
Contract Negotiation: Present proposals, negotiate terms, and close deals with a focus on long‑term customer relationships.
Market Insight: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform sales tactics.
Sales Reporting: Maintain detailed records of sales activities, client interactions, and forecasts; provide regular updates to management.
Team Collaboration: Partner with the marketing department to create promotional materials and improve brand visibility.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in outside sales or a similar client‑facing role is strongly preferred. Garage Door Experience and Construction Background is highly preferred.
Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are essential. The ability to build rapport and close deals effectively is a must.
Work Environment & Benefits
Travel: Frequent local travel within your assigned sales territory is required.
Office Base: While primarily field‑based, some administrative work and team meetings will be conducted from the office.
