The Corporate Trainer – Secondary Market Due Diligence is responsible for developing and delivering training programs that support Opus CMC’s core due diligence operations, including credit, compliance, valuation, data integrity, and securitization‑related review workflows. This role ensures that analysts, underwriters, and QC staff are fully equipped to meet investor expectations, regulatory requirements, and Opus CMC’s internal quality standards. Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver training programs specific to secondary market due diligence, including credit review, compliance review, ATR/QM, TRID, data validation, and investor‑specific requirements and LauraMac systems. Facilitate new‑hire training for due diligence analysts and underwriters. Develop and maintain SOPs, job aids, workflow guides, and reference materials. Conduct live virtual and in‑person training sessions, refreshers, and calibration workshops. Evaluate training effectiveness using quality trends, audit results, and performance data. Provide subject‑matter expertise on loan‑level due diligence for securitizations, whole loan trades, and investor acquisitions. Train staff on credit grading, income/asset analysis, collateral review, and compliance testing. Support training on investor guidelines, rating agency expectations, and transaction‑specific requirements. Stay current on regulatory changes and market trends impacting secondary market reviews. Partner with Operations Leadership, QC, and Audit teams to identify skill gaps and training needs. Provide coaching and support to analysts and underwriters. Assist in developing certification programs and skills assessments. Integrate quality findings and investor feedback into training curriculum. Documentation & Compliance

Maintain accurate training records and attendance logs. Ensure training content aligns with investor, regulatory, and internal compliance standards. Support audit and client requests related to training documentation. Qualifications

3+ years of experience in secondary market mortgage due diligence, credit risk review, or securitization‑related operations. Strong understanding of credit, compliance, collateral, TRID, and data integrity review processes. Experience training, mentoring, and coaching operational staff. Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills. Ability to translate complex investor requirements into clear, actionable training content. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Experience in third‑party review, rating agency‑aligned due diligence, or whole loan trading environments. Familiarity with due diligence platforms and workflow systems. Experience creating multimedia or e‑learning training content. Prior corporate training or instructional design experience.
