Position Description

Part‑time teacher to work with students in person, one‑on‑one in our private school, Augustine Hills School, for core subjects in middle school and high school.

Location: Wilmington, DE 19803 - Just off I‑95 and Route 202.

Type: Part‑time, in‑person.

Schedule: Monday through Thursday, 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM (Schedule is flexible).

What you’ll do

Provide personalized, one‑on‑one instruction in middle school and high school subjects of literature and math.

Develop tailored lesson plans based on student needs and learning styles.

Create an engaging classroom experience that brings math concepts into real‑life contexts.

Assess students’ progress and grade their work, while maintaining accurate documentation of lesson plans, progress, and grades.

Collaborate with other educators and administrators as needed.

Adjust instruction techniques to accommodate students with learning differences.

Your qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of teaching middle school and high school students in core subjects, including literature and math up to Algebra 1 (not including student teaching).

Bachelor’s degree.

Within 30‑minute commute of ZIP code 19803.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to adapt lesson plans and teaching approaches based on student engagement, need, and skill level.

Previous experience developing a curriculum, assessing students, and grading their work.
