Overview Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Analyze project requirements and information from alternative studies to develop an accurate report for submittal.
Analyze survey reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, aerial photography and other topographical or geologic data to plan projects/tasks.
Assess collection/distribution system performance deficiencies, predict future issues, and develop solutions for planning and design projects.
Demonstrate familiarity with hydraulic designs, sewer rehabilitation, water and sewer design, water/wastewater pump station and treatment process design, engineering economics, preparation of specifications and engineering report writing.
Firm grasp of general heavy construction principles; environmental facilities operations experience considered a plus.
Perform design computations.
Design projects in accordance with client specifications and guidelines, using design software and drawing tools.
Develop or review the construction cost estimate.
Prepare and compile contract plans, specifications and estimates.
Attend meetings with clients and assist taking meeting minutes.
Coordinate with other disciplines and understand how they fit into the project and design.
Quality review of project design in accordance with the Project Management Plan.
Technical oversight and guidance/support of Design Engineers within department.
Requirements
5-10 Years Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, ArcGIS, MS Project, and Microsoft Office.
Strong written and communication skills.
Professional Engineering License.
Experience working with local clients at the county and state level.
Field work occasionally; lifting up to 25 lbs.
MUST HAVE
5-10 Years Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering from an ABET accredited university.
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Revit, ArcGIS, MS Project, and Microsoft Office.
