Sales BDC Manager
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales BDC Manager to lead our Sales Business Development Center (BDC). The role manages a team of BDC agents and oversees handling all incoming sales calls and internet leads. The Sales BDC Manager plays a critical role in driving showroom traffic by ensuring timely, professional lead response and consistent appointment setting, while educating every prospect on the unique, customer‑focused nature of our dealership.
Key Responsibilities
Manage, coach, and develop a team of Sales BDC agents to ensure consistent performance and accountability
Oversee the handling of all incoming sales calls, internet leads, texts, and chats
Ensure every lead is responded to promptly, professionally, and thoroughly
Drive appointment setting as the primary performance objective of the BDC
Ensure that all prospect questions are answered accurately and in a timely fashion
Train and reinforce proper phone, email, and text communication best practices
Ensure every prospect is clearly educated on the unique benefits, processes, and value proposition of our dealership
Monitor lead response times, contact rates, appointment show rates, and conversion metrics
Review call recordings, lead activity, and CRM usage to maintain high standards
Work closely with Sales Management to align BDC strategy with inventory, promotions, and sales objectives
Maintain CRM discipline, ensuring accurate notes, follow‑up tasks, and lead status updates
Develop and refine scripts, word tracks, and processes to improve customer experience and results
Qualifications
Proven experience in an automotive Sales BDC or Internet Sales role
Prior BDC Management or Team Leadership Experience (strongly preferred)
Strong phone skills and ability to coach others on effective communication
Deep understanding of appointment‑driven sales processes
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow‑up
Comfortable holding team members accountable to performance metrics
Experience working with automotive CRM systems
Professional demeanor with a customer‑first mindset
