At Prevea Health, the Audiology Assistant is responsible for maintaining and repairing hearing devices, managing administrative duties, and assisting patients to ensure a seamless and supportive clinic experience, all under the guidance and supervision of Audiologists. Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day support to Audiologists, including coordinating pickup of hearing aids, documenting consultations, and advising patients on payments at visit. Assist patients with fitting, maintenance, troubleshooting, and education of hearing aids and other assistive listening devices. Ensure devices are clean and fully functional; pre-program and re-program hearing aids as needed. Greet patients and guide them from educational space to exam room. Support pre-determination process for all hearing devices and appointments. Maintain a system for device checks/repairs and order completion. Assist with billing concerns and invoice management. Manage inventory of audiological equipment and supplies, reordering as required. Work at multiple outreach sites as directed by supervisors or Audiologists. Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Ability to prioritize work and meet changing demands. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under stressful or emergency situations. Effective problem solving skills. Basic knowledge of EMR systems, computer, phone, and office equipment. Licenses and Certifications
CPR/Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification from approved program required. Physical Demands
