We are currently looking for a Veterinary Technician to join our fast‑growing team in Immokalee, FL!
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide compassionate care for the animals while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations
Conduct clinical observations for hospital and colony animals, to include assessment of outdoor group housed animals
Assist veterinarians in all aspects of clinical care to include administering treatments, radiology, ultrasounds, surgery, and necropsy
Assess, record and report animal health
Collect samples and prepare samples for shipment
Assist Behavior Team with observations and assessments, maintain enrichment plans to ensure behavioral health of animals
Maintain all hospital areas in a neat and sanitary condition, updating required logs
Maintains inventory - restocking treatment/procedure rooms as needed
Other duties may be assigned
Required Skills
Must be able to read, write, and interpret documents including task descriptions, standard operating procedures, and other instructions
Bilingual for Spanish is preferred, but not required
Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
Strong analytical and organizational skills
Education and/Or Experience
2 years of non‑human primate OR exotic animal experience is required
Certified Veterinary Technician, or AALAS certification at the LAT level preferred
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Proficient with animal management systems.
