Carrus Behavioral Hospital is a new, state‑of‑the‑art, 28‑bed child and adolescent behavioral facility. We provide 24‑hour inpatient behavioral care for patients ages 5 through 17 who require a safe and therapeutic environment. Our multidisciplinary team, led by a board‑certified psychiatrist, provides evidence‑based therapies tailored to the needs of each child, adolescent, and family, and our effective management teams ensure that the hospital runs smoothly and that every patient leaves satisfied.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assess and evaluate patient and family needs to provide quality care to assigned patients.
Develop, discuss and communicate a plan of care for each patient, in collaboration with each patient/family to address identified needs.
Evaluate the patient’s response to the care provided; modify care upon response elicited.
Coordinate nursing care and patient/family education for psychiatric patients through the use of the nursing process.
Report to work in a timely manner and adhere to policies, procedures, and processes.
Performs Other Job Duties As Needed And/or As Assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in nursing, substance disorders, and/or behavioral health is preferred.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and intermediate knowledge of electronic medical record documentation/utilization in a paperless setting.
Ability to effectively communicate in English via verbal and written means.
LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS
Current state Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse license.
BLS certification required upon hire.
De‑escalation training required within 30 days of hire.
