Qualifications
Completion of an Ultrasound program (required).
ARDMS Certification (required).
1–2 years Ultrasonography experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of ultrasound protocols and cross‑sectional anatomy.
Must be proficient in Abdominal, OB/GYN, Small parts, & Breast ultrasound.
Experience in interventional radiology, including paracentesis and thoracentesis, preferred.
Responsibilities Perform ultrasound diagnostic studies according to department protocols while ensuring patient safety, comfort, accuracy, and excellence in imaging quality as part of a multidisciplinary care team.
Provide advanced technical skills and coordinate patient care activities in assigned ultrasound areas.
Perform ultrasound procedures, position patients, demonstrate cross‑sectional anatomy knowledge, and produce high‑quality images.
Prepare rooms, equipment, and patients; practice aseptic technique; evaluate images; and document electronically.
Communicate effectively with patients, radiologists, physicians, and staff using AIDET.
Supervise or train ultrasound students as needed.
Ensure regulatory readiness, maintain licensure and CPR, complete ongoing education, and perform other duties as assigned.
