Maintenance Technician 3rd shift

Position Overview Maintains production equipment through routine repairs and PM execution. The equipment consists of automated high-speed industrial food manufacturing equipment, and the skills needed include good mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving, and working at pace.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Maintain GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety standards.
Work safely with programs such as lockout/tagout (LOTO).
Set up, adjust, troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance (PM) work, overhaul, and repair equipment.
Use shop tools, including cutting, grinding, drill press, welding, and minimal machining.
Work on electric motors and controls (if qualified).
Use CMMS to perform work orders, document work, and order parts.
Read and comprehend technical manuals and prints.
Perform duties inside and outside in varying conditions, including extreme heat, cold, wet, and humid conditions.
Education & Experience
High school diploma required.
Technical college education or equivalent 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing‑related field preferred.
Ability to understand and communicate effectively.
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
Support management decisions, talk positively, and encourage a happy environment.
Know and follow the safety procedures as outlined by Monogram Foods.
Know your department’s safe food handling practices, HACCP, and quality control procedures.
Must be able to speak, read, and write in English.
Competencies & Skills
Verbal and written communication skills.
Bi‑Lingual a plus – English/Spanish.
Physical Demands
Work within temperature‑controlled environments (heat/cold).
Walk on slippery, wet surfaces.
Climb small ladders or platforms.
Use small hand tools for equipment assembly.
Good hand/eye coordination and handling (holding, grasping).
Good seeing/depth perception.
Lift 60 lbs.; push/pull 500 lbs.; walk/stand 100% of the shift.
Employees must be at least 18 years of age to be eligible for employment at Monogram Foods.
Extended hours based on production needs, including after‑hours and weekends.
Work Environment
Stand on concrete.
Ambient temperatures.
Work alone.
Personal Protective Equipment
Safety shoes as needed.
Insulated gloves as needed.
Safety knives as needed.
