Flynn Group is the largest Applebee’s franchisee in the world, operating over 460 restaurants across 24 states. As an Applebee’s Assistant Manager you will be engaged in all aspects of day‑to‑day restaurant operations, ensuring guests and staff have an outstanding experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Ensures timely, friendly service according to company guidelines, achieving established objectives of the unit.

Cultivates a culture aligned with the Flynn Applebee’s Premier Card of our core values and beliefs.

Responds to and corrects all verbal guest complaints quickly.

Prioritizes guest contact by completing required table visits established by Flynn Applebee’s standards.

Maintains departmental inventory levels.

Ensures product preparation and presentation meet company standards through line checks.

Schedules employees to meet sales demands.

Maintains effective safety and security programs.

Promotes and leads restaurant organization, cleanliness and sanitation.

Performs routine maintenance and reports needed repairs to the General Manager/Area Director.

Promotes quality recruitment and referrals of potential team members and management candidates.

Promotes Flynn | Applebee’s training procedures for new managers.

Helps maintain a trained staff through orientation, individual training sessions, employee meetings and training systems.

Participates in the development of employees using One‑on‑One and performance documentation, contributing to written evaluations.

Provides fair feedback and continuously works with employees on their development.

Monitors employee performance and documents situations requiring disciplinary or corrective action.

Assures compliance with company policies, practices and procedures.

Controls cost in assigned department.

Complies with local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines.

Drives bi‑weekly/weekly food and liquor inventories at the AD/GM’s request.

Prepares and submits accurate daily paperwork.

Ensures sanitation standards meet or exceed Health Department and Flynn Applebee’s standards.

Provides a role model for managers and employees.

Develops proficiency with store‑related technology.

Is willing and able to work in all positions and assist team members when needed (e.g., line, expo, seating, bartending).

Uses the Management Development Program for continuous growth of leadership skills and proficiencies.

Education and Experience

At least 2‑3 years of restaurant management experience.

Serve Safe Food and Serve Safe Alcohol Certifications are a plus.

Compensation Hourly rate: $20.98–$27.27 (approx. $60,000–$78,000 annually with a 50‑hour work week). Potential monthly bonus by location.

Physical Standards

Work various shifts, including weekends.

Stand and move for up to ten (10) hours.

Safely lift up to 50 pounds.
