Main Facility Location:

26001 Ford Road, Dearborn Heights, MI 48127

Travel requirements:

Travel locally to our facilities located in the Oakland, Macomb, Wayne and Washtenaw counties but within 30 miles from your home.

Schedule:

Full time – Monday–Friday

Compensation:

Earn up to $50/hr

General Summary:

In this role you will provide physical therapy services to patients impaired by physical dysfunction, including assessment, treatment planning, implementation of treatment plans, participation in patient care conferences, program development, and screenings as appropriate. You will provide supervision for PTAs and aides, complete appropriate documentation, and adhere to policies, procedures and current standards of clinical practice.

Your Responsibilities:

Conduct physical therapy screenings and evaluations to determine patient physical status.

Provide physical therapy treatment consistent with the professional and ethical standards of the APTA.

Develop and implement treatment plans using strengthening, modalities and retraining to reach patients’ highest potential for independence.

Provide direct patient care in accordance with productivity standards by using graded activities to facilitate the restoration of physical and functional abilities.

Check, instruct, assign and review work of PTAs and aides as assigned.

Provide documentation to maintain quality of the medical record as it relates to accuracy, continuity of care and reimbursement guidelines.

Participate in patient care conferences and CQI activities as requested to ensure continuous quality of care.

Promote current standards of clinical practice through continuing education and in‑service programs.

Coordinate and/or participate in in‑service programs for internal/external groups.

Participate in new program development.

Attend company meetings and other activities to facilitate effective departmental operations.

Required Qualifications:

Successful completion of an accredited Physical Therapy program.

Licensure as required by the State of Michigan.

Valid driver’s license.

Skills and Abilities:

Ability to exercise professional judgment and initiative when analyzing problems and recommending solutions.

Initiative and flexibility in the work environment.

Ability to react effectively to the needs of patients and their families.

Physical ability to bend, position, transfer and lift patients weighing from 80 pounds to over 300 pounds, without restriction, utilizing clinically recommended lifting devices.
