Mechatronics & Robotics Technician (MRT) – Madison, WI
Full time position with New Journey, a Genesis10 company. Compensation: $26.46 per hour with a $1 per hour night differential.
Responsibilities
Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
Maintain and troubleshoot all automated conveyor systems in the building
Lead and audit preventative electrical/mechanical maintenance procedures
Perform PLC control level issue diagnosis and maintenance (Allen Bradley)
Install, maintain, and troubleshoot relay logic, ladder diagrams, control components, photo‑eyes, motor starters, limit switches, proximity sensors, solenoids, etc.
Utilize blueprints and schematics to perform maintenance safely and efficiently
Collaborate and build relationships with all levels of the organization
Basic Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls
At least 2 years of experience repairing material handling equipment
At least 2 years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
1 year of metal and wood fabrication experience
1 year of blueprint and electrical schematic reading experience
1 year of knowledge of electrical and electronic principles
Procedure‑based maintenance experience (PM)
Ability to use and interpret statistical equipment run metrics such as OEE/Up Time to prioritize accordingly
Preferred Qualifications
Associate or higher degree from a vocational school or college focused on Mechanical or Electrical fields
2 years of apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Electrical fields
Experience with Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards according to OEM and safety standards
Project Management experience
Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Knowledge of computer networking systems and infrastructure
Experience with robotic or electromechanical operation and maintenance
Ability to troubleshoot basic input and output functions, low voltage signal tracing, and troubleshooting of logical devices
Basic ability to use Linux command line interface
