Work Schedule and Shift Premiums Full time (Days) 7am-7pm | 36 hours/week, including weekends on a rotation
2nd shift premium is $2.00/hour
Weekend premium is $2.00/hour

Qualifications
Associates or better degree in nursing
Current Michigan RN license, could possibly work as a GN while obtaining your Michigan endorsement
BLS certification required (available at Hillsdale Hospital)
ACLS certification within 1 year of hire (available at Hillsdale Hospital)
1 year of medical surgical or CCU experience preferred
Responsibilities
Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health and/or situation, appropriate to the age of the patient
Analyze the assessment data, identify appropriate nursing diagnosis/problem lists and create an individualized plan of care
Effectively implement the individualized plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and all members of the interdisciplinary team
Evaluate outcomes and adjust the nursing care process as indicated to ensure optimal patient care
Participate in unit specific and/or hospital-wide quality improvement initiatives and assist with activities that enhance the quality of nursing practice at Hillsdale Hospital
Demonstrate a willingness to work as part of a team within own department and with all departments to create and maintain a healthy work environment and provide superior patient care
Mentor/Precept new staff when appropriate
Demonstrate a commitment to acting as a patient advocate. Deliver care in a non-judgmental and non-discriminating manner that is sensitive to patient diversity. Actively preserve patient autonomy, dignity, and rights
Identify and address the educational and discharge follow-up needs of the patient from admission through discharge making referrals appropriately
