Primary Purpose The primary purpose of this position is to manage the overall operation of the labs within the Department of Biological and Forensic Sciences. This position will prepare labs for the forensic sciences courses, maintain and order materials and supplies needed for the lab, maintain protocols and safety guidelines for the lab.

Responsibilities

60% – Prepare labs for forensic science courses.

20% – Manage and conduct forensic science research related projects with faculty and undergraduate students.

20% – Order lab materials and supplies needed for labs and update laboratory protocols and safety guidelines.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements BS degree and training or experience in Biological Science, Forensic Science, or a closely related discipline is required.

Preferred Qualifications A Bachelor of Science degree in Biological Sciences, Forensic Science or a closely related field is preferred.

Experience working in a lab setting.

Willingness to attend professional seminar/conferences to keep abreast of technological advances.
