Instructional Designer, 2 Hour Learning (Remote)

What You Will Be Doing
Leveraging AI to create interactive simulations that make historical events and geographic concepts concrete and engaging for learners.
Examining learning data to identify trends that shape adaptive learning pathways, ensuring each student's experience is personalized and impactful.
Building innovative digital content that animates historical narratives and global environments, including virtual explorations and immersive cultural experiences.
Working with a cross‑functional team of educators and technology specialists to develop groundbreaking methods that transform social studies instruction.
Converting intricate historical and geographic ideas into accessible, compelling material supported by AI‑powered customization.
What You Won’t Be Doing
Handling conventional curriculum administration or routine paperwork—this position focuses on innovation and tangible educational outcomes.
Working in isolation—you will collaborate with a dedicated team of professionals focused on advancing educational practice.
Relying on traditional textbook approaches—your contributions will redefine student engagement with history and geography.
Key Responsibilities Achieve measurable gains in students' understanding of social studies topics, doubling the rate at which they absorb essential historical and geographic knowledge through advanced, AI‑enhanced instructional design.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in History, Geography, or a related field.
3+ years of experience teaching or developing social studies curricula, with demonstrable results in improving student outcomes.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
Experience with AI applications in education, such as content creation, adaptive learning, or data analysis.
Outstanding communication skills to translate complex social studies topics into engaging narratives.
About 2 Hour Learning Education is broken, but 2 Hour Learning is proving it doesn’t have to be. They’re tearing down the outdated one‑size‑fits‑all model and replacing it with AI‑driven personalized learning that helps kids master academics in just two hours a day.
Working with us This is a full‑time (40 hours per week), long‑term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $50 USD/hour, which equates to $100,000 USD/year assuming 40 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
