Overview
USD $19.00/Hr. – The Dairy/Frozen Manager is responsible for the successful operation and profitability of the dairy/frozen department, training and directing staff, and fulfilling Manager on Duty (MOD) duties on a scheduled basis.
Responsibilities
Provide world‑class customer service and exemplify integrity, responsibility, and excellence.
Create inviting and shop‑able departments, order the dairy/frozen department, and maintain accurate inventory.
Manage margin, COGS, and overall department profitability, minimizing shrink and maximizing effective purchasing.
Ensure all in‑stock products meet company standards and handle special orders.
Merchandise shelves, endcaps, and dynamic displays; manage tagging, facing, rotating, cleaning, markdowns, stocking, and backstock.
Train and supervise department personnel, assign tasks, and provide feedback.
Cross‑train with other department managers and conduct active/passive demos.
Assist in interviewing, hiring, and addressing performance or disciplinary issues.
Open and close the store, including DSR and closing cash processes.
Serve as register cashier, manage returns and complaints, and cover register shifts.
Maintain safety and security for customers and employees and handle business disruptions.
Answer customer questions using provided policies and statements of nutritional support.
Improve product knowledge continually and use SAP and inventory software to run reports.
Work a schedule based on store needs, including evenings, weekends, holidays; attend mandatory meetings.
Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (preferred).
Forklift certification.
1–2 years of grocery or retail experience, including natural foods preferred.
1–2 years of supervisory experience.
Pass food safety training and maintain required certifications.
Excellent customer service, organization, and attention to detail.
Ability to manage changing priorities and maintain sense of urgency.
Cashier training and currency counting.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Occasionally sit, squat, kneel, and climb as needed.
Environmental Requirements
Frequent work with sharp tools, dust, fumes, and congested worksite.
Occasional work with noise, cold, heat, wet, humid, outside, heights, and contact stress.
