Executive Housekeeper
Job Overview
The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the overall coordination and execution of the casino EVS and Hotel Housekeeping departments and its endeavor to keep the property clean, well maintained and serviced according to company and AAA four diamond specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities
Projects a positive image
Engages with all guests and Team Members
Recruits staff, screens applicants and conducts auditions for employment
Actively coaches, mentors and develops team members
Monitors departmental service levels ensuring that standards are met and maintained.
Maintains a detailed inventory of supplies, re‑ordering supplies as necessary
Manages departmental expenses ensuring budgetary margins are maintained
Ensures that team members are attentive to guest needs
Acts as “Manager on duty” representing the property in resolving guest conflicts
Keeps staff informed of pertinent information
Liaises with other departments as operational issues arise
Ensures that an adequate number of vacant/clean/inspected rooms are available throughout the day
Actively inspects guestrooms and common areas ensuring each is clean and well maintained
Administers an active Maintenance Request and Property Inspection programs
Generates shift reports recording key hotel statistics and incidents
Limits the number of accidents and injuries by promoting job safety
Other duties & responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements
High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
Must be twenty‑one (21) years of age or older
Bachelor’s Degree in Related Field AND two (2) years Supervisory experience – required
OR Four (4) years’ experience in a Management position – required
OR Four (4) years’ experience in a Supervisory position with Wind Creek Hospitality – required
Five (5) years hotel supervisory experience in a 3 Diamond or above hotel – required
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing in both English and Spanish – required
Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand and/or walk for entire shift
Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced, high‑volume environment
Must be able to operate standard office equipment – phones, computers, etc.
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license – required
Must be in good physical condition and able to pass a physical fitness test if administered
Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
Willingness to work in a smoke or secondary smoke environment
Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Florida Statues and remain in good standing with the Florida Gaming Control Commission as a requirement for this position
