We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious CDL-A driver to perform local dry bulk pneumatic transfers between Heidelberg Materials silos at Port Canaveral and the railyard silo in Cocoa. This is a consistent, short‑haul nightly route operating between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Key Responsibilities
Load dry bulk cement at Heidelberg silos: drive trailer into loading bay, confirm alignment, manage safety cage, initiate loading. Transport approximately 16 miles to the railyard silo. Connect hoses for pneumatic unloading (trailer to silo inlet, silo pump to trailer air inlet). Operate the silo‑based pneumatic pump: start system, open valves, monitor gauges. Disconnect and stow hoses after unloading. Maintain accurate delivery logs and communicate with dispatch and site personnel. Perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections of truck and pneumatic equipment. Loading Time: ~20 minutes (after loading into spout) Travel Time: ~22–30 minutes (traffic dependent) Unloading Time (Pneumatic Pump-Off): ~1 hour Total Cycle Time: ~2 hours per run Total Trips/Loads: 4–5 per shift Requirements
Valid CDL-A license with clean driving record. Experience with pneumatic tankers preferred (training available). Ability to lift hoses and operate pumping equipment. Strong attention to safety and detail. Benefits
