Overview
The Youth and Family Staff, together with the Child Development Director, will administer quality, community minded operations to ensure smooth, efficient and courteous delivery of customer services to YMCA members, partners, volunteers, children and families, and guests. This position will be responsible for helping maintain all our Youth and Family Programs. This position will directly work and maintain Youth and Family areas, along with additional responsibilities to the YMCA of Pueblo as assigned.

Responsibilities
Knowledge of child growth and development patterns, age‑appropriate activities, and discipline
The Youth and Family Department includes, but is not limited to, Birthday Parties, Parents Night Out, Field Trips, Community and YMCA of Pueblo events and the creation of any and all program development for this department
This position will include community partnerships and participation at community events
Skill in organizing and executing age‑appropriate activities for children
Supervise and participate with children during all large and small group activities
Provide discipline for a child that is age appropriate and maintains respect for the child
Ability to enforce YMCA policies and procedures, while building a positive relationship with all community partnerships
Display emotional maturity and stability
Attend program planning, staff, and training meetings
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Be a minimum age of 18 years
Possess current CPR and First Aid certifications
Must be creative, innovative, outgoing and a team player
Have the ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
Knowledge and experience in leading organizational change
Ability to handle multiple priority projects and meet established deadlines and deliverables with quick turn‑around
