Teacher - Early Childhood and Moderate Disabilities/Inclusion Gr K2 (SEI Endorsement Required) (SY25-26)
Boston Public Schools is looking for an exceptional Early Childhood and Special Education Teacher with an SEI endorsement to join our team. Diligent educators who wish to make a high-impact difference in inclusive, English‑language learner settings are encouraged to apply.
Reporting Reports to: Principal/Head of School
Responsibilities
Teach the Early Childhood general curriculum in an inclusive setting for students with special needs and English language learners.
Implement district learning goals and objectives in alignment with state frameworks and identify student portfolio access points.
Provide small‑group instruction for students diagnosed with moderate to severe cognitive delays to ensure understanding and progress.
Write and implement goals and objectives consistent with student Individualized Education Plans (IEPs); provide timely progress reports.
Provide accommodations for student learning and testing; develop and implement curriculum and prepare students for MCAS Alternative Assessment.
Collaborate as a team member to support other staff in modifying instruction to meet student needs.

Qualifications Required
Bachelor’s degree.
Massachusetts Teaching License in Moderate Disabilities (PK‑8) AND Early Childhood AND SEI Endorsement or ESL License (PK‑6).
Meet all state and federal guidelines for full licensure and High Qualification.
Meet Boston Public Schools Standards of Effective Teaching.
Authorized to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
Preferred
Experience teaching in urban schools.
Degree in Special Education.
Fluency in one of BPS official languages (Spanish, Creole, Chinese, Vietnamese, Portuguese, Somali).
Certifications in Moderate Disabilities and/or English as a Second Language at appropriate grade levels.
