Role Overview
Support and drive comprehensive health, safety, and environmental (EHS) programs across engineering facilities, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and embedding a culture of risk awareness and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
Deploy and maintain EHS initiatives, including electrical safety, explosives safety, radiation (ionizing / non-ionizing), laser safety, lockout / tagout (LOTO), cranes / hoists, fall protection, machine guarding, job hazard analysis, and powered industrial vehicles. Act as the technical EHS resource for engineering reviews—interpreting and applying OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, IFC, IBC and other relevant standards. Serve as the dedicated EHS engineer for assigned facilities and engineering programs. Develop, document and roll out EHS policies and procedures tailored to specific site needs. Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent program execution and regulatory alignment. Lead injury investigations and root-cause analyses; define corrective actions and monitor closure. Support internal and external audit readiness (e.g., ADOSH VPP, third-party assessments). Contribute to broader site EHS efforts, including industrial hygiene initiatives and hazard monitoring. Design and deliver instructor-led training on core safety topics. Proactively engage stakeholders to drive toward established safety goals. Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field Minimum 2 years of relevant EHS experience Solid knowledge of OSHA regulations and ANSI standards Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment Adaptable mindset, open to supporting additional EHS campaigns and rotations Desired Skills & Certifications
Hands-on experience in lab or field-test safety environments Familiarity with Enablon (or similar) EHS management software Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) Success Metrics
≥80% of incident investigations and safety‑concern closures completed on time (within 30 days) 100% on‑time closure of audit inspection findings Active partnership with site teams to achieve 2025 targets, including : Total Recordable Injury Rate (TRIR) ≤ 0.29 Lost Day Incident Rate (LDIR) ≤ 0.10 Join us to champion best‑in‑class safety practices and help engineers innovate with confidence and compliance.
