Polysomnographic Tech - PRN
Position: Polysomnographic Tech – PRN at Mayo Clinic, Jacksonville, Florida.
Job Summary Support sleep studies by preparing and hooking up patients, performing, scoring sleep studies according to AASM criteria, and operating polysomnography equipment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and set up patients for polysomnography studies.
Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot polysomnographic and related equipment.
Score sleep studies according to AASM criteria.
Educate patients about the study process and create a relaxing environment.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
One year of experience in a sleep lab.
Additional Qualifications
2+ years of sleep lab experience preferred.
Experience scoring sleep studies in an AASM accredited lab.
Associate Degree in Applied Science or related field preferred.
Basic understanding of relevant physiology.
Good human relations and communication skills.
Basic computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
License/Certification
Current certification in RPSGT or CPSGT or proof of enrollment/completion in the AASM A-Step Online Self Study Modules.
Schedule & Compensation
Nonexempt – Part‑Time, Supplemental/as needed.
Schedule: 6:30 pm – 7:00 am as needed/supplemental; Weekends Saturday and other days as needed.
Compensation: $26.00 – $38.55 per hour.
