Stratas Foods – Remote Sales Position, New York Area
Stratas Foods LLC is a leading supplier of fats and oils to the Foodservice, Food Ingredients and Retail Private Label markets in North America, producing bulk and packaged dressings, mayonnaise and sauces.
This full‑time sales role is located remotely, with the ideal candidate residing in New York (Queens, Bronx, NYC, Nassau, Westchester County). The position reports to the Division Manager and focuses on direct market sales in Metro NY.
Base Pay $75,153.00 / yr – $110,000.00 / yr
Responsibilities
Provide dedicated direct sales development in the field, calling on foodservice operators and training strategic distributors on our national branded portfolio (NB).
Identify operator targets and conduct operator fry tests and product samplings.
Develop goals and objectives that support a growth plan for the territory.
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributor street sales reps to become the Stratas National Brands leader in oils, dressings, and shortening products.
Lead operator sales growth through timely lead follow‑up and fry test management, providing product solutions, market intelligence, and technical expertise.
Manage the full fry test process, including salad dressings, sauces, mayo cuttings, demonstrations, and bakery shortenings.
Learn and apply effective selling techniques, product knowledge, professional presentations, and promotional tools (Salesforce and Blacksmith).
Support and direct the One Foodservice strategy, funneling commodity opportunities and working with distributor brand managers.
Become proficient in Salesforce.com for opportunity management and customer relationship management; manage expense reports, contracts, and email communication.
Follow directives from the Division Manager.
Travel up to 70% within the assigned territory and up to 15% outside the territory.
Qualifications
Associate or bachelor’s degree in culinary, food marketing, general business‑related field or equivalent education and experience.
Minimum three (3) years of foodservice experience (distributor, broker, or manufacturer sales).
Microsoft Office proficiency and experience with customer relationship management tools.
Driver’s license. Bilingual – Fluent in English and Spanish preferred.
Exceptional presentation skills, robust foodservice background, deep understanding of business dynamics and value‑based selling.
Strong organizational skills, dependability, professionalism, and discretion.
Clear verbal and written communication; active listening; ability to prioritize and adapt to changing demands.
Additional Information
Ability to travel extensively by flying/driving to various markets.
Ability to present information to groups, individual customers, and associates at all management levels.
Pay and Incentives Base pay range: $75,153.00 – $110,000.00 per year
Annual bonus incentive: 10%
